UPDATE - Divine Mercy on the Door
As I type this out, we are having Indian summer here in Virginny, in the single-digit part of November. Therefore if I look back at the posts, I see it has been just over half a year since Father Alar asked us to put a powerful sign on our doors - that of Divine Mercy. Like those faithful in the video, I took a paper card I had and scotch-taped it to the wood door, which has an overhang (and briefly swanned over the Divine Mercy doormat I found online!) ......
With it being the season of dried, crunchy leaves, I just went to sweep them off my patio - they wind-up inside my apartment, where maybe it's too tastefully autumn decor ;) And I realized something else I needed to do, in housekeeping, that when I went to do so -- well, dear reader, it took me aback! ---
Surely, with an outdoor light source, you get those little gnaty bugs. That's why I try not to disturb the spider webs in the corners: I figure the Good Shepherd has provided natural bug control ;)
However, for some strange reason, there were these dead gnats stuck to the exterior of my door! I have a chippy old wood frame door, the type that those who love the shabby chic look depicted in their living spaces would love ;), with a window panel in it. And so, I went to use the broom to sweep the gnats off, and that was when it struck me like the proverbial tonnage of bricks --
THE GNATS HAD NOT STUCK ANYWHERE AROUND DIVINE MERCY - IN FACT, THERE WAS A HUGE CIRCLE AROUND IT!!!
