 A Christian patriot 

will have compassion for the poor and hungry, for those who live in squalor, for the weak and powerless

will support legislation and public policy that will promote the general welfare

will actively participate in those programs and processes that lead to positive social change

will seek to secure for others the opportunities and freedoms we covet for ourselves

will oppose racism and bigotry in every form

will celebrate the inevitable differences that assert themselves amongst a free people, nd will seek to reconcile conflicts that are destructive

will be committed to nonviolent solutions to human problems while trying to understand angy and violent reactions to unjust human conditions

will be 'peacemakers', committed to global justice

will be open, honest, and penitent in the presence of national arrogance & sinfulness

will bind individual conscience to Christian values and the word of God

will seek first God's kingdom, knowing that in so doing the interests of one's country are best served
